Things to know about the detox diet and what food to include in your diet.

Detox is absolutely necessary to rejuvenate your body and skin from the inside out. Alcohol, coffee, cigarettes, refined sugars, saturated fats, and all processed junk foods that we consume produce toxins in the body. And unless we detoxify our body for great health, even switching to a healthy diet or exercising won’t help us feel better. 

The key to comfortable cleanses is not to throw yourself into an extreme fruit diet, but you can help your body by adopting a diet rich in anti-inflammatory foods and antioxidants.

Antioxidants are compounds like vitamins C, E, and beta-carotene found in colorful fruits and vegetables that help to keep your colon clean. The fiber from fruits and vegetables includes two tablespoons of chia seeds in a glass of water to eliminate toxins from your body. Unfortunately, eating one healthy meal filled with these foods after a particularly unhealthy meal is not the answer; however, eating a variety of these foods every day is.

Another deterrent to good health is stress, as it triggers your body to release stress hormones. It’s a good idea to cleanse stressful life situations along with your body. 

How does the detox diet plan work?

Before you begin your detox diet plan, progressively eliminate alcohol, coffee, cigarettes, sugary foods, saturated fats and all   processed foods, and replace them with more whole foods like fruits and vegetables.  Because, these foods can add as toxin in your   body, and must be removed.  

Eating a wide range of organic vegetables is a great way to increase your fiber intake. Most importantly, the foods that you eat should contain plenty of vitamins and minerals. And, drinking plenty of water and fruits juices supports the elimination of waste via kidneys.

🍋    Lemon and Orange are great for detoxification. Start your day with a glass of lemon water  to speed up your digestion.
🍵    Green Tea or Matcha contains antioxidants that boosts the performance of the liver. So, do not forget to Include this in your diet              every day as an evening snack.
🥬    Cabbage & Leafy Greens: helps the body fight against toxins and promotes bowel function and aids digestion. Include this at least           in your one meal. 
🍅    Beetroot: contains a good amount of fiber that helps to eliminate excess bile from the liver and gallbladder. You can include this               in your lunch diet plan as salad or in breakfast as plain fruit juice. 

The 3-Day Detox Diet Plan

A guide full of delicious, nourishing breakfasts, lunches, dinners, and snacks that, with a little planning should be simple to pull off.  Here’s a detox diet plan to follow for 3 days. This 3 days meal plan is designed in a way so that you can easily prepare at home.

Things To Remember...

#1.    Anybody who wishes to take such a diet up, must check with a dietician before starting. Never take this diet without consultation.

#2.   Staying hydrated is very important during this time. Make sure, you drink at least 8 glasses of water along with the consumption of freshly fruit juice per day. The main goal of detox diet is to flush out toxins from your body, improve energy level and help you lose weight.

#3.   You should avoid foods and drinks that are stored in plastic packaging, as they may contain bisphenol A. A detox diet is all about eating clean and eat mindfully to promote better health.

#4.   If you are pregnant or suffering from diabetic, do not follow this diet. You may experience nausea, giddiness or feel drained out due to a decrease of calorie intake.

#5.  If you want to exercise during the detox, it should be low-intensity exercise, such as running up the stairs, brisk walking, jogging, rope jumping, biking, swimming, dancing, etc.
